About

Oh boy I hate writing about myself.

You would think a college degree in Fine Art would better prepare you to talk about yourself and your work. But, apparently not for me.

I am a part-time art teacher, full time daydreamer. Making art, often in my kitchen, or my shared office space beside my husband.

I don't like to hone in on one medium. I'm always trying new things and new techniques. But I've found I like printmaking best. And birds. Boy do I love birds. Like the "Portlandia" sketch, I will put a bird on it whenever I get the chance.

If you're here for more of a resume, I graduated from LSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, majored in Graphic Design and minored in Printmaking. I have illustrated 4 books for Louisiana author Carol Ter Haar. I have worked as an elementary, middle school, and high school art teacher, with a few years of yearbook and history of graphic design. And I have exhibited work in shows in Louisiana, Texas, and New York.
